Witnesses: Motorcycle Speeding In Route 17 Crash In Ramsey

RAMSEY, N.J. -- A motorcycle involved in a three-vehicle crash that closed two lanes of southbound Route 17 in Ramsey around 3 o'clock was speeding, witnesses told Daily Voice.

The motorcyclist was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with severe injuries from the crash, Police Chief Bryan Gurney told Daily Voice.

The cycle came to rest in the far left lane outside the Maple Shade Motel. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigations Unit was joined by the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification, which was collecting evidence.
